Letter from Editors:
Hey there, if for some reason you got stuck on this mailing list, and you don't know what in the world it is...then look on, and see what it is about! :)
But if you already have, and still don't want to be apart of this wonderful group, then click here:
Unsubscribe from our newsletter and you shall be taken off immeaditly, or at least when I check my mail! :)-but see how it is first, then mail me :)
Hi members this is Lizz.
I finally learned how to work on my page. I will be making a separate page solely for the newsletter. It will have each issue, a section dedicated for the members and subscribe section. Hopefully I will have found out by then how to get a sound to play. When it is totally up I'll send the link with the newsletter.

From Casila:
Hi all, hope you enjoy this newsletter. It sure has taken me a while to get it out, but finally it is here! :)
Going out of town again, Aug 5th-8th. So e-mail during that time won't get answered till maybe that Monday.--look to Onelist and other things, there's something there where you can reach me while I'm gone.
So, if anyone has Quicktime and you want the SW commercials ask me, I have all eight! They are really great, and very clear. So if you want them, tell me and
I'll send them to ya! :)
okay, bye now....and on with the newsletter.

Prequel News:
E! Online exclusive:
1 Okay let's just get this out of the way: Sources report that the most hated and controversial Star Wars character in the history of the galaxy, Jar Jar Binks, and his Gungan brethren will be back. Meesa action figure, Meesa stupido, Meesa no-brainer.
2 The tentative release date for Episode II: May 24, 2002. Good seats still available; line forms to the left.
3 Preproduction is under way at Fox Studios in Sydney, Australia, and principal photography is set to begin in June 2000. Lucas will write and direct (duh!), with Episode I's Rick McCallum returning to produce Episode II and composer John Williams scoring II and III.
4 Characters confirmed for Episode II: Anakin Skywalker (still to be cast), Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi, Samuel L. Jackson's Mace Windu, Yoda, Natalie Portman's Queen Amidala, Ian McDiarmid's Darth Sidious, Anthony Daniels' C-3PO and Kenny Baker's R2-D2.
5 Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi Master Mace Windu will play big roles.
6 The action takes place about a decade after Episode I events and will shed light on Jedi methods by tracing the training of Anakin.
7 According to Lucas, II will see "Darth Sidious take over the Republic, turn it into an empire and control everything." (Remind you of anyone, George?) HHmmm, not sure about this. The last time I saw SW (for the 5th time) I caught something I didn't before, that make me think that Pal and Sid are not the same person--I thought they were before, and I'd defend it with all I had, but now, I don't know. It's cause: When Amidala is leaving Courscant for Naboo, She tells Palpatine that she is going back. Okay got that one. Then, when Sidious is taking control of Naboo he mentions to Nute that he didn't know that Amidala was foolish enough to come back...or something to that effect. So why, if Pal knew that she was going back, why would he, as Sid, say something like that?--explian that. I'd love to hear what everyone has to say about that :)
8 In an interview with French magazine Studio, Lucas confirmed that Anakin Skywalker--and not his son Luke--is indeed "the chosen one." The topic will unfold in much more detail in II and III.
9 The casting director, Robin Gurland, will not start interviewing actors for Episode II until the end of September at the earliest.
And I want to get this through to as many people as I can--
McCallum (producer for TPM and 2) said that: "EVERY NAME BEING THROWN OUT NOW (leo) WILL NOT EVEN BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE OF ANAKIN!!!!"
So rest assured, SW fans. Tell everyone this quote if they mention anything about Leo as Anakin!

Book Reviews
For this weeks book review;
The X-Wing Rouge Squadrons.
Thanx to those who sent in their opinions, cause I've never read them before, so I can't say anything! :)

XWing216: Personally, I think the X-wing books as a whole are the best Star Wars books ever written. I don't expect you to agree with me, but if you haven't yet even tried out these books, I say you should at least give them a shot.

There are so far 8 books in this series (a 9th is currently being written by Aaron Allston). In order, the books are Rogue Squadron, Wedge's Gamble, The Krytos Trap, The Bacta War, Wraith Squadron, Iron Fist, Solo Command, and Isard's Revenge. Books 1-4 are written by Michael A. Stackpole and books 5-7 are written by Aaron Allston. Mike Stackpole wrote book 8. My personal favorites are the books by Aaron Allston, mainly for the reason that they are funnier. My favorite book is Solo Command.

These books combine many things in one. There is some romance, there are space battles, ground missions, all kinds of things put into one. Though these books do not focus on the main characters of the movies (Luke, Han, Leia, etc.) they are still very good and you get to see some of the minor characters like Wedge Antilles and Wes Janson get developed more. These books are funny and serious, with a few jokes that run through a few books, so it is best to read them in the order in which they were These are very good books and you should give them a try, hey, you may end up liking them. If you have any questions about these books or have read them and want to talk to me about them, e-mail me (Xwing216@AOL.com).

It is Two and a Half Years since
THE BATTLE OF ENDOR. and the REBEL ALLIANCE
has banded together to become the
NEW REPUBLIC. With these efforts comes
the skill and bravery of one man, and his

determination to end the IMPERIAL
threat once and for all.

WEDGE ANTILLES, who helped found the
original ROGUE SQUADRON, has decided to
recruit the best X-WING FIGHTER PILOTS, and
once again strike fear in the hearts of
Imperial foes, whose goal is to ultimately control
THE GALAXY.

loving it. alright, these are the last series i have read so far. and let me say, as plotwise is zahn, is technical is stackpole. the xwing series rocks. wedge is the "MAN". the remaking of rogue squadron, taking of courscant, and the struggle to hold it were amazing. and then the liberation of thyferria was great. but then alliston took over for books 5,6,7 with is ghetto crew "Wraith Squadron", 5 and 6 were ok, and 7 was almost really good, but he lacks that which zahn and stackpole contain. my only words for ppl who havent read this series yet is this, if you want to know all about things in between bakura and courtship read all 7 books, but if you want only the best, only read 1-4 and then skip over allistons 5,6,7 and head straight to 8 where stackpole took back over. and let me say, not spoiling but, im half way through 8 now, and there is almost absoulutely no reference to 5,6,7, just refrences to 4. (which was stackpoles last book). oh, another word of advice, go find the rogue squadron, mandatory retirement comic book series 1-4 and stackpole wrote it. why, because references are made back to this comic series. everytime they go, back when you did this, and it aint in the other books, its in the comic, specially number four. now, thats all for me.

OOhhh, make me wanna go out and buy the whole series because of how they described it, but I have to get some money first of all! :)

Okay now, heres the link to the One list that I've created, the JediKnightsNewsleter. Hopefully we'll get enough people so that we all can talk every day about somehting! :) Okay, heres the link:
ONElist E-mail Communities --Just type in JediKnightsNewsleter and you'll get our page! :)
I (Liz) have gotten a Voicemail account for everyone on the newsletter. You can send messages but you can also listen what other members say. It's a great way to keep in touch with other members. Tell us what you like and dislike about the newsletter, and all that stuff :)
To listen to others messages: you call the number (1-877-324-6289) then say "yes" to "are you a member?" Our box number is 610-800-118 and the security code is 0519 (SW opening in USA.)
If you want to leave a message for the group you call the number 1-877 324 6289 then say "no" to "are you a member?" and send a message to 610-800-118. The whole thing is absolutely free.
I (Casila) have already sent a mesage to the voice mail for all of you to hear, so if you wanna hear it, call up now!! :)
I've also got something new here too...It's called Shoutmail. It's really kewl. If you send something to me my address is Casila@Shoutmail.com--and if you do send me something, you'll be able to hear what I sound like when I reply. But if you do send me something that way, please use comas and periods in every right place, cause I hear a recording of what you wrote, and if there are no periods and comas it's all one big slur! :)--it's totally free, and it's almost like talking over the phone, but without the long distance! :)

Favorite Characters:

By XFAnakin:
Everyone likes a different character.
If we didn't, life would be pretty boring. Well, they all have different reasons for liking them. People like Obi-Wan because he is "cool." They like how he's a good fighter.
Some people like Anakin because he's bold and dreamed to be a Jedi.
Others like Amidala because she's a queen, young but yet she is smart.
Those are the three most liked characters. JarJar is of course the most controversial character. Many people love him on the other hand many people hate him. My favorite character would be Anakin. My reason for liking him goes along with most other's.
The other biggest debate was if there was a fight between Darth Maul and Darth Vader (which couldn't happen but oh well) who would win? There's a good split on the choices there. Many people think Darth Maul is a good fighter. However they also think Darth Vader would win. They break fights into categories then.
The first one is "Force Talents." The argument is Darth Vader is stronger in the Force therefore he would win. The next category is "Psychical Battle" there they believe Darth Maul would win. They believe that because he is smaller, quicker, and a better fighter. The final category is "Anything Goes" There they use whatever resources they have, including the Force. In that category they also believe Darth Vader would win.
So whoever would win, everyone agrees it would be a fight no one would want to miss.
